1. 19-year-old history-sheeter, Sajjan Sunil Jadhav, was nabbed by Crime Branch Unit 2 in Pune with an illegal firearm.
  2. The arrest took place near the Canal area of Dias Plot, Gultekdi, Swargate, thanks to a tip-off during routine patrolling by police constables Ujwal Mokashi and Shankar Kumbhar.
  3. Police Inspector Pratap Mankar swiftly dispatched a team led by API Amol Rasal, which resulted in the arrest of Jadhav around 6:00 PM.
  4. Jadhav was found in possession of a silver-colored iron pistol with a magazine and one live cartridge, valued at ₹50,400.
  5. A case has been registered under various sections of the Indian Arms Act and Maharashtra Police Act at Swargate Police Station.
  6. The accused is from Dange Chowk, Pimpri, originally from Renushimora, Mahabaleshwar, Satara, and has been remanded to police custody for further investigation.
  7. The operation was supervised by Additional Police Commissioner (Crime) Shailesh Balkawade, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Nikhil Pingale, and Assistant Commissioner of Police (Crime 1) Ganesh Ingle.
  8. The dedicated team from Crime Branch Unit 2 played a key role in the arrest, with the investigation still ongoing.
