As the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Elections results draw near, preparations are in full swing in Koregaon Park. The vote counting for all eight Legislative Assembly constituencies around Pune City will be held at the Food Corporation of India (FCI) godown tomorrow. To avoid any traffic chaos, the Pune City Police Commissionerate’s Traffic Branch has implemented temporary traffic changes in the area.

A “No Parking” zone has been put in place in front of the FCI godown on South Main Road. Parking restrictions have also been enforced on the east side of South Main Road, from Lane No. 5 to Lane No. 2 on the west side. In addition, “No Parking” rules are in effect on Lane Nos. 3 and 4 for a distance of 200 meters.

Drivers coming from Lanes Nos. 5, 6, and 7 towards South Main Road will not be allowed to enter Lane No. 4. They are advised to take a right turn to reach their destinations. Access to vehicles from South Main Road is blocked at specific locations on Lane No. 2 and Lane No. 3.

For parking convenience, arrangements have been made at various locations. Two-wheelers for administrative officers and employees can be parked at Pujya Kasturba Gandhi English and Marathi Medium School. Citizens’ vehicles can be parked at Rohi Villa Palace, while four-wheelers can be parked at The Poona School and Home for the Blind.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Amol Zende has emphasized the strict enforcement of entry restrictions and “No Parking” rules, except for essential service vehicles. Citizens are urged to cooperate and adhere to the outlined plan to ensure a smooth process during the election results announcement.
