As the city of Pune gears up to bid farewell to Ganpati Bappa, the Pune City Police are leaving no stone unturned to ensure a peaceful and safe Visarjan. With guidance from Commissioner Amitesh Kumar, the police force has set up watch towers and police help centers all across the city.

Joint Commissioner of Police Ranjan Kumar Sharma emphasized the importance of creating a safe environment for all attendees. Policewomen will be visible and approachable, encouraging women to seek help if needed. Additionally, five officers and 24 constables will be undercover in the crowd to monitor and identify potential troublemakers.

A total of 195 CCTV cameras will be in place to provide real-time footage to the police control room. Any incidents of harassment will be swiftly dealt with, as plainclothes officers will be on the lookout to alert the police immediately.

Citizens are urged to coordinate with the police and reach out for assistance through emergency numbers or the Police Control Room. With these security measures in place, the Pune police are dedicated to ensuring a secure and enjoyable experience for all devotees participating in the immersion procession.
