The Pune City Police have finally received the vehicle inspection report for the Porsche Taycan involved in the tragic accident in Kalyaninagar on May 19. The report, put together by the Regional Transport Office (RTO) with assistance from Porsche officials, has confirmed that the vehicle was in perfect working condition at the time of the incident.
The fatal accident occurred when a teenager from Pune, behind the wheel of the Porsche Taycan, collided with the bike carrying two IT professionals. The investigation carried out by the car company revealed that there were no mechanical faults or technical issues with the vehicle, ruling out any defects as the cause of the crash.
It was also disclosed by Maharashtra transport officials that the luxury car had been awaiting permanent registration since March. The delay was attributed to the vehicle owner, who is the father of the teenager involved in the accident, failing to pay a fee of Rs 1,758. This fee included charges for hypothecation, the smart card RC, and postal expenses.
The findings of the vehicle inspection report have shed some light on the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident, providing clarity on the condition of the Porsche Taycan at the time of the accident.
