Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar made it clear that criminals will face severe consequences for their actions, referencing the Bollywood film Gangaajal to emphasize that offenders will be dealt with through lawful means.

The ceremony, attended by top officials including Joint Commissioner of Police Ranjan Kumar Sharma and Additional Commissioner of Police Manoj Patil, highlighted the dedication of the police force in tackling crime in the city. Commissioner Kumar praised the efforts of his team, noting that Chatushrungi police returned valuables worth ₹2 crore, while Lonikand police recovered ₹1.5 crore worth of stolen assets.

In his address, Commissioner Kumar urged Yerawada, Vimannagar, and Chandannagar police to step up efforts in recovering stolen property and ensuring justice for theft victims. He reassured citizens that the police are committed to maintaining a disciplined atmosphere in the city and providing justice to those affected by crime.

Victims of theft also expressed their gratitude for the police’s efforts, with one beneficiary, Chandraprabha Shinde, sharing her experience of having her stolen valuables recovered by the police after a robbery at her home. The sentiment of appreciation was echoed by many others who have benefitted from the hard work and dedication of the Pune Police.
