Hey there, Pune peeps! Big news coming your way – the Anti-Extortion Squad of Pune Police just made a major bust. They seized a pistol and a live cartridge from a wanted criminal in our city. The guy in question is Rutik Kailas Ekhande, a 23-year-old resident of Erandwane. The cops nabbed him in Karve Nagar on 26th August.
Apparently, Ekhande is no stranger to the law. He’s got four serious crimes registered against him under the Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissionerates. The officers from the Anti-Extortion Squad were on his tail and finally caught him red-handed. During the interrogation, they found the pistol and live cartridge worth Rs 35,100 on him.
Senior Police Inspector Shailesh Sankhe, along with his team, orchestrated the whole operation. It was a joint effort with Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Shailesh Balkawade and his deputies. The squad included some badass officers like Assistant Police Inspectors, Assistant Police Sub-Inspectors, and Police Constables who were instrumental in making this bust happen.
Looks like Ekhande is in some serious trouble now. With cases against him in multiple police stations for crimes like murder and attempt to murder, he’s definitely not getting out of this one easily.
