In a recent event in Pune, State DGP Rashmi Shukla emphasized the importance of using scientific tools in police investigations due to changes in the law. She highlighted the need for investigation officers to adopt a scientific approach while probing cases.

The Maharashtra Police ‘Kartavya Melawa’ concluded with a ceremony where Shukla was honored with a Guard of Honour by the Police Brass Band. The event also featured 25 teams participating in competitions, including a March Past by the teams and demonstrations by the Dog Squad.

Former State DGPs AV Krishnan and Datta Padsalgikar, along with Pune Commissioner of Police Amitesh Kumar and Pimpri-Chinchwad Commissioner of Police Vinoy Kumar Choubey, were among the dignitaries present at the event. Additionally, Addl DGP (CID) Prashant Burde, Addl DGP Deepak Pandey, Spl IG Sunil Fulari, Spl IG Ashok Morale, Spl IG Rajendra Dahale, and Spl IG Jalindar Supekar were also in attendance.

Various awards were given out at the event, with trophies for Best Team Performance going to the Anti-Terrorist Squad for Scientific Aid To Investigation, the Kolhapur Range for Police Photography, the SRPF for Police Videography, the Kolhapur Range for Computer Vigilance, the Dog Squad for Anti-Sabotage Check, and Mumbai’s Force One receiving the Late Ashok Kamte Trophy. The overall winner was Nagpur City, with the runner-up being Kolhapur Range, and the CID Centenary Trophy going to the Nagpur Team.
