Hey Pune peeps, have you heard about the recent abduction case involving a priest and his disciples? Yeah, it’s pretty shocking. Apparently, the abductors lured them under the pretext of a religious ceremony in Karnataka, only to demand a whopping ransom of Rs 5 crore. But hey, looks like the Pune and Karnataka police were on top of it, as they managed to nab three suspects from Karnataka. Good job, guys!
The accused have been identified as Ramu Apparai Valun, Datta Shivaji Kare, and Harshad Suresh Patil, all hailing from Sangli. The victim’s father, Jarang Tulshiram Lande, reported the abduction of his son, who is a priest. The accused tricked the priest and his disciples into traveling to Karnataka for a pooja and idol installation at one of their houses. Sneaky, huh?
Thankfully, the Bibvewadi police sprang into action and, with the help of their Karnataka counterparts, tracked down the suspects in Raichur. Kudos to Deputy Commissioner of Police R Raja and his team for their swift action. The suspects are now in police custody until October 5, and the investigation is ongoing. Stay tuned for more updates on this bizarre case.
