In a heart-wrenching incident, a seven-month-old baby was kidnapped from Pune Railway Station, sending shockwaves through the city. The Government Railway Police (GRP) in Pune sprang into action and managed to track down the baby all the way to Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Two individuals, Mohammad Khan Qureshi and Najma Akram Khan Qureshi, were arrested in connection with the abduction.

The baby’s mother, Puja Santosh Das, had filed a complaint with the Pune Railway Police Station after her child was taken from her at the station. The accused allegedly struck up a conversation with Puja and then made off with the baby when she wasn’t looking.

The news of the kidnapping spread like wildfire during the Ganesh Visarjan festival, prompting the police to launch a massive search operation. Thanks to their efforts, the baby was safely rescued and reunited with her parents.

The successful operation was carried out under the leadership of Pune GRP Superintendent of Police Tushar Doshi and Additional SP Rohidas Pawar. A dedicated team of police officers, including Inspectors and Constables, worked tirelessly to bring the culprits to justice and ensure the safe return of the kidnapped child.

It’s heartening to see the swift and efficient response from the Pune GRP in such a distressing situation. The timely action taken by the police not only led to the apprehension of the kidnappers but also ensured the well-being of the innocent child.
