Hey there, folks! It looks like cyber criminals have struck again, this time in Kondhwa. A young man was duped of a whopping Rs 26 lakh by some smooth-talking fraudsters who promised high returns from stock market investments. Talk about a classic case of too good to be true!

According to reports, the victim, a resident of Bhagyoday Nagar, was initially approached by the cybercriminals back in September. They must have really laid on the charm because he actually received some returns at first, which convinced him to invest a total of Rs 25.99 lakh. But as soon as he made the payment, the scammers conveniently disappeared, blocking his number in the process.

It wasn’t long before the poor guy realized he had been taken for a ride and decided to take matters into his own hands. He filed a complaint at the Kondhwa Police Station, and now Crime Police Inspector Suraj Bendre is on the case.

This incident is just one of many in a recent surge of stock market-related scams that have left individuals across the country out of pocket. It’s a harsh reminder to always be cautious when it comes to your hard-earned money, especially in the digital age where fraudsters are getting sneakier by the day.

Stay safe out there, folks, and remember to always do your due diligence before making any financial investments. Until next time, this is your friendly neighborhood journalist signing off. Stay informed, stay vigilant!
