The Residents Forum of Udaybaug, Sopanbaug, Ghorpadi has taken matters into their own hands by forming a Task Force to address issues affecting the community. Advocate Anirodh Mishra, leading the Task Force, revealed that despite court orders and government instructions, the PMC and PCB administrations have failed to take action. The Maharashtra Government had promised changes to Town Planning Laws in 2012 to tackle garbage and dumping ground issues. The Bombay High Court expressed displeasure over the non-compliance of its orders regarding the shifting of a garbage depot. The residents are calling for immediate corrective action from the PMC and PCB to address the health concerns and legal obligations.
