Hey Pune folks, here’s some not-so-great news for you – there’s only 5.71 TMC of water left in the dams supplying water to the city. That’s a shortage of 19.59 percent compared to last year. Yikes!

Last year, we had 25.54 TMC of water available at this time. This year, it’s down by 5.95 percent. The dams under the Khadakwasla project – Temghar, Varasgaon, Panshet, and Khadakwasla – only have a total of 29.15 TMC of usable water, and we’re down to just 5.71 TMC now.

This water shortage is causing some serious headaches for residents, who are now having to rely on expensive private tankers to get their water fix. The low water pressure from the municipal corporation isn’t helping either. Looks like Pune is in for a tough time unless we get some good rainfall soon. Stay hydrated, folks!
