The recent heavy rains in the Sinhagad Road area have caused chaos for commuters looking for transportation options. With long wait times for cabs and increased fares for rickshaws and cabs, residents are feeling the strain.

Swarupa Kulkarni, a resident of Sinhagad Road, shared her frustrating experience of trying to book a cab to visit her relatives in Kothrud. After waiting for hours, the driver canceled the booking, leaving her stranded and unable to make the trip.

Neelam Jagtap also faced difficulties when trying to book a cab from Bharti University in Katraj to Bavdhan. Despite offering to pay extra, the driver initially hesitated and then demanded a higher fare before finally agreeing to the ride. Many passengers have reported similar incidents of drivers refusing bookings or charging exorbitant prices.

As the community continues to deal with the aftermath of the heavy rains, local authorities are being called upon to address the transportation issues and ensure fair practices by cab drivers. It’s essential for the well-being of affected commuters that these issues are resolved promptly.
