The Young Seniors group from Pune has once again proven that age is just a number by completing a grueling 3,444 km cycling expedition across eight states in just 30 days. The team, consisting of retirees aged between 53 and 79, cycled from Delhi to Kolkata, breaking barriers of age and endurance.
The group, led by Sanjay Katti, included members from various professional backgrounds, all united in their goal to stay fit and inspire others to lead an active lifestyle post-retirement. Despite facing challenges along the way, such as long distances and unpredictable weather, the team persevered and reached their final destination at Shaniwarwada in Pune.
What makes this expedition even more remarkable is that the group completed it without any support vehicle, carrying all their belongings on their bicycles and making stops for rest and meals along the way. The journey was not just about cycling, but also about self-discipline, teamwork, and a shared commitment to living a healthier life.
The group’s motivation to push boundaries and inspire others is evident in their previous expeditions, including the Kolkata-Kanyakumari route and the Kashmir-Kanyakumari trip. With more ambitious expeditions on the horizon, the Young Seniors group continues to encourage individuals of all ages to embrace the benefits of cycling and lead an active lifestyle.
