According to the government’s guidelines issued on April 27, 2018, the maximum fare for private buses should not exceed 1.5 times the fare of MSRTC buses for the same category.
If any private travel or bus is found to be charging more than the government-fixed fare, strict action will be taken against them. The RTO Pune has also reminded passengers that tickets should be priced according to the rules set by the government.
