The raid was carried out by the Shirur Police Station under the Pune Rural Police Force, and it all went down in the Ghod River riverbed in Kawathe Yemai.
Police Inspector Sandesh Kenjle led the operation after receiving a tip-off and managed to apprehend the accused and destroy all the seized items. Inspector Kenjle is now urging citizens to come forward and report any similar activities, promising confidentiality for those who speak up.
