Get ready for a spectacular sight in Pune on Tuesday (September 17) as the immersion procession of Hindustan’s first Ganpati mandal, Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati, is set to start at 8 pm. Trustee and Celebration Chief Punit Balan revealed that this year, the procession will feature an attractively illuminated chariot (Rath) just like in previous years.

According to Balan, the procession will kick off from Lokmanya Tilak’s statue and will be led by Acharya Swami Govind Giri Maharaj who will perform ‘Puja’ at 7.30 am on Anant Chaturdashi day. The ‘Mayurpankhi Rath’ will then proceed from Varad Vighneshwar Wada to Lokmanya Tilak statue near Mandai at 8.30 am before the glorious procession of Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati starts at 8.30 pm.

The Mayurpankh Rath will be a sight to behold with its attractive illumination and various Dhol-Tasha pathaks such as Shriram, Shivmudra, and Samarth performing in front of it. Traditional games will also be demonstrated during the procession.

Balan emphasized the importance of the immersion procession in Pune, stating that it is the main attraction for Ganesh Bhakts worldwide. He urged maximum participation from devotees to bid farewell to Bappa with devotion. So mark your calendars for Tuesday night and witness the grandeur of Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati’s immersion procession!
