Hey there, folks! Here’s a piece of news that will make you raise your eyebrows. A State Reserve Police Force constable tried to pull off a shady move in Pune by pretending to be a CBI officer. Can you believe it?
So, this constable, Vinod Annappa Thorwat, who had previously worked with the CBI, decided to extort a whopping Rs 12 lakh from a businessman in Bavdhan. Talk about nerve! His buddy, a Police Constable in Mumbai also in on the scheme.
The businessman, Suhas Ashokrao Wankhede, wasn’t buying Thorwat’s story and promptly reported him to the authorities. Thorwat’s stint as a fake CBI officer came to an end when the Bavdhan police got wind of the situation.
What a wild ride this must have been for Wankhede! Imagine thinking you’re dealing with a legit CBI officer, only to find out it’s all a scam. Kudos to him for staying vigilant and not falling for the con.
Let’s hope justice is served, and this duo faces the consequences of their actions. Stay tuned for more updates on this bizarre case!
