The Innovation Foundation is all set to kick off the second edition of the national-level hackathon, ‘Innovate You Techathon 2.0’ on February 22. This event aims to bring out the innovative spirit in students and encourage them to think like entrepreneurs.

A whopping 1,200 students from 327 teams representing top institutions like IITs and IIITs will be participating in this hackathon. They will be brainstorming and developing innovative solutions to address societal issues. And guess what? The winners and outstanding performers stand a chance to win cash prizes totaling ₹7.5 lakh. How cool is that?

The inaugural ceremony of ‘Innovate You Techathon 2.0’ will see the presence of some esteemed guests, including Dr. Parag Kalkar, the Pro-Vice Chancellor of Savitribai Phule Pune University, and Dr. Dattatraya Jadhav, Joint Director of the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Pune Division.

The event details were shared by Kalpesh Yadav, the founder of Innovation Foundation, during a recent press conference. He mentioned that AISSMS IOIT has teamed up with the Innovation Foundation to host this hackathon on its campus. A total of 327 teams were selected out of the 400 that applied, all set to showcase their innovative ideas over the two-day event.

The hackathon will revolve around six themes, each featuring five problem statements that the participants will need to solve using technology-driven solutions.

And here’s the cherry on top – the Innovation Foundation will be awarding ₹7.5 lakh in cash prizes to the winning teams. There’s also a special prize in memory of the late industrialist Ratan Tata, as well as an award for the most innovative use of artificial intelligence.

But the excitement doesn’t end there. The Innovation Foundation will be extending support to selected projects to help them transition into startups. They’ll provide expert guidance, business mentorship, and financial assistance to turn those innovative ideas into successful ventures.

And hey, let’s not forget about Balaji Jadhav, who will be receiving the ‘Innovation Award’ for his outstanding contributions to the education sector. He’s been using YouTube to simplify primary education and make learning more accessible to children. Kudos to him!
