During this 4-day festival, families come together to celebrate and make sweet dishes at home. The festival is a way to show respect to Mother Earth as she prepares for the rainy season. In Odisha and Bengal, this festival is a big deal and is all about celebrating the femininity of Mother Earth and Goddess Bhudevi.
Dr. Mishra has been working hard to spread awareness about womanhood, hygiene, and health during menstruation through entertainment. This year’s Raja Mahotsav will showcase the art and culture of Odisha, Bengal, and Maharashtra with performances by artists from all three states.
