Hey there, folks! Looks like the Pune Police’s Traffic Branch is cracking down on those unruly drivers who think they can get away with driving on the wrong side of the road. In a recent operation in the Bibwewadi area, they managed to nab a real troublemaker wanted in connection with a murder case.

The man in question is Ganesh Malekar, a resident of Sangli who was on the run after being accused of killing Rohan Phalke in the Tasgaon area of Sangli District. Malekar was spotted by the Sahakar Nagar Traffic Division riding his bike on the wrong side of the road with two other people. When he saw the police, he tried to make a run for it, but the cops were quick on his tail and managed to catch him.

It turns out that Malekar had injured his leg while fleeing the scene of the murder and had been laying low in Pune. He reportedly asked a two-wheeler rider for a lift into the city, which ultimately led to his arrest by Assistant Police Inspector Prashant Khedkar and his team.

Malekar is now in the custody of the Sahakar Nagar police, facing charges for both traffic violations and the murder of Rohan Phalke. It just goes to show, you can run, but you can’t hide from the long arm of the law! Stay safe out there on the roads, folks.
