Hey Punekars! It looks like the Traffic Police in our city are not messing around when it comes to enforcing traffic rules. Despite their best efforts to discipline commuters by slapping fines for various violations, it seems like some people just can’t seem to follow the rules.
But now, the Traffic Police have decided to up their game by impounding vehicles for six months if they are caught traveling in the wrong direction. That’s right, no more getting away with reckless driving!
In a recent drive against commuters, the Traffic Department has taken action against a whopping 25,000 vehicles in just 15 days. And with 850 Traffic Police personnel working in two shifts, they are definitely cracking down on traffic violations in the city.
Despite their efforts, traffic congestion is still a common sight due to the indiscipline among commuters, as well as bad and narrow roads. The rate of road accidents has been on the rise, with fatal accidents becoming more frequent in Pune.
To combat this, Commissioner of Police Amitesh Kumar has promised to take strict action against undisciplined commuters. And one of the steps being taken is the ban on heavy vehicles during peak hours to prevent accidents on our city roads.
So, let’s all do our part and follow the traffic rules to ensure the safety of everyone on the road. Let’s make Pune a safer place for everyone!
