The incident involving a Jaguar car running without number plates and displaying a controversial message has caught the attention of Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar. After Punekar News reported the violation, Commissioner Kumar took action by ordering the traffic branch to seize the vehicle for six months.

Despite receiving an initial fine of Rs 1500 from Pune traffic police, Commissioner Kumar deemed it insufficient and instructed the traffic branch to take stricter measures. Social media posts have revealed that the car has been seen on Pune roads without number plates for years, with concerned citizens reporting the violation multiple times to no avail until Punekar News brought it to light.

An analysis of e-challans has shown that a total of 20 fines have been issued since 2020 to the owner of the vehicle, Malik Pavan Patil, who is registered with the Hyderabad RTO. Patil has paid fines ranging from Rs 400 to Rs 3500 each time he was caught without number plates, receiving penalties from both Pune Police and Mumbai Police.

This incident serves as a reminder to all citizens to follow traffic rules and regulations, as violations can lead to serious consequences. Let’s all work together to ensure road safety for everyone.
