Hey Pune peeps, there’s a new traffic update you need to know about! Starting tomorrow, the left turn at Golibar Maidan Chowk for vehicles coming from Solapur Road and Pulgate bus terminus will be closed by the traffic police. This move is aimed at reducing the traffic congestion that has been a constant headache near the office of the Principal Controller of Defence Accounts and Khatau Bungalow Chowk.

Currently, vehicles coming from Solapur Road are causing a major traffic jam by taking a left turn at Golibar Maidan Chowk to reach Kondhwa, Lullanagar, and Market Yard. To tackle this issue, drivers will now have to take a right turn to reach Camp and surrounding areas instead. They can also choose to pass through Bhairoba Nullah Chowk or take a left turn from Pulgate bus terminus to get to Kondhwa.

The police have set up an L-shaped barricade system to discourage motorists from making the illegal turn and to improve road safety. This measure will be in place for two months on a trial basis, and the police will closely monitor the traffic flow to determine its effectiveness.

So if you’re someone who regularly travels on Kondhwa Road, be prepared for this new change and plan your route accordingly to avoid any inconvenience. Let’s all do our part in keeping Pune’s traffic moving smoothly!
