Vendors and hawkers in Viman Nagar are causing chaos and residents want the PMC to do something about it. Despite requests for designated vendor zones, the authorities have not taken any action. The increase in vendors is due to the number of educational institutions and IT companies in the area. Legal vendors need to be moved to proper spots and illegal ones must be removed. The VNCF has suggested locations for vendor zones, but the PMC needs to act fast. Sukhrani emphasized the need for joint action by the PMC and traffic police to tackle the issue. Residents are calling for action to be taken in accordance with the relevant laws. PMC must stop procrastinating and start acting to ease congestion in Viman Nagar.
