The accused, who have been identified as Hifazat and his accomplice, had suffered financial setbacks in their bakery business and came up with a plan to steal 20 tolas of gold to raise funds for trading in the stock market. They targeted women in areas like Pimpri, Chinchwad, Baner, and Bhosari before being apprehended by the Wakad Police.
