Mobile phones have become an integral part of our lives, serving as a means of communication, entertainment, and keeping track of important information. So, it’s no wonder that losing a phone can cause panic and distress for many individuals.

In a recent special operation conducted by the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police, led by top officials like Police Commissioner Vinaykumar Choubey and Joint Commissioner Dr. Shashikant Mahawar, a team was formed to recover stolen and lost mobile phones. Senior Police Inspector Nivrutti Kolhatkar of Wakad Police Station spearheaded this initiative, with officers like Police Sub-Inspector Shahaji Dhaygude and constables Kaunteya Kharade and Pramod Gayake working diligently to track down missing phones.

Using the CEIR portal, the team was able to trace phones not only within Maharashtra but also in various other states across India. Through their efforts, they were able to locate the owners of the stolen or lost phones and facilitate their return, sometimes even resorting to legal measures to retrieve phones from different states.

The results of this operation have been impressive, with Wakad Police Station successfully returning 120 phones to their rightful owners in just two months. The citizens who have benefited from this initiative have expressed their gratitude towards the police force for their dedication and commitment to recovering lost phones.

This success story is a testament to the hard work and perseverance of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police team, with support from senior officers like Deputy Commissioner of Police Vishal Gaikwad and Assistant Commissioner of Police Sunil Kurade. The operation will continue to ensure that more lost or stolen phones are reunited with their owners, further emphasizing the importance of mobile phones in our daily lives.
