Hey there, folks! Here’s a piece of news that’s sure to make you double-check your rental agreements. In a shocking incident in Bibwewadi, Pune, a woman was swindled out of more than Rs 14 lakh after her car, which was rented out through the Zoomcar App, was fraudulently sold in Dhule district, Maharashtra.

So, what went down? Well, Poonam Sumit Mundra, a resident of Bibwewadi, decided to rent out her Mahindra Thar car through Zoomcar. Everything seemed legit until one fine day when the car mysteriously disappeared. Turns out, the person who had rented the car, Jagannath Khude, along with two accomplices, Ganesh Pagare and Dilip alias Bunty Choure, had sold the car to someone in Dhule without Poonam’s knowledge.

When Poonam realized what had happened, she wasted no time in filing a complaint at Market Yard Police Station. The police have taken swift action and have registered a case against the three individuals under various sections of the Indian Penal Code.

The lesson here? Always double-check the fine print before renting out your car, folks. You never know who might be out there trying to pull a fast one on you. Stay vigilant, stay safe!
