The case of a woman filing a complaint against her NRI husband and family members for domestic violence, financial deprivation, and harassment has caught the attention of the Pune Police. The accused, including the husband, mother-in-law, and others, have been accused of physically and mentally torturing the woman.

The complainant, who was a management consultant in India, married the accused in 2005 and moved to the USA with her husband, who was working as an IT engineer. However, she alleges that she was forced to return to Pune in 2006 for housework, which led to the deterioration of her career. The situation escalated when her husband took their daughters to America for schooling and prevented her from meeting them.

The woman also claims that her educational documents and gold ornaments were taken by the accused and not returned. In a recent incident at a bank in Wakadewadi, the husband and other family members allegedly tried to intimidate her, leading to a verbal confrontation at her house in Salisbury Park.

The Pune Police have taken note of the case, which involves allegations of harassment, cheating, and the kidnapping of minor girls. The woman has appealed to the Government of India for justice, stating that the accused violated international law and fundamental human rights. The investigation into the matter is ongoing.
