Hey there, folks! It looks like the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in Pune has been busy catching some corrupt individuals red-handed. This time, an Additional Sessions Judge was caught demanding a hefty bribe of Rs 5 lakh in exchange for a favorable decision. Can you believe it?
The whole operation was set in motion after a sharp-eyed woman from Pune tipped off the ACB about the shady dealings. The woman, a 24-year-old from Khadki, filed a complaint with the ACB and later with the Satara City Police Station. The accused individuals include Additional Sessions Judge Satara Dhananjay Laxmanrao Nikam, Kishore Sambhaji Kharat, Anand Mohan Kharat, and another unidentified person. These guys are in hot water now.
It all started when the complainant’s father got himself into some legal trouble and ended up behind bars. He applied for bail at the District and Sessions Court in Satara, where Judge Nikam was handling the case. To make sure the bail was denied, the accused allegedly tried to grease the judge’s palms with a fat bribe. Thankfully, the ACB was on the case and caught them in the act.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Dayanand Gawade and Anil Katake are on the case, digging deeper into the matter. The operation was carried out under the watchful eyes of Pune ACB Superintendent of Police Shirish Sardeshpande and Additional Superintendent of Police Dr. Sheetal Janve. Kudos to these folks for cracking down on corruption!
Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story. Until next time, stay vigilant and keep an eye out for any shady dealings around you. Corruption has no place in our society, and it’s up to all of us to stand up against it. Let’s keep fighting the good fight!
