The Primary Education Officer, Sanjay Naikade, stressed the importance of verifying a school’s recognition status before enrolling to prevent disruptions in children’s education.
With the admission season in full swing, the Zilla Parishad has noticed an increase in unauthorized schools operating without proper approval. These schools pose legal and academic risks to students, prompting the need for stricter measures to crack down on such institutions.
Parents are advised to check the recognition status of schools before seeking admission. Recognized schools fall under categories like Fully Recognized, Provisionally Recognized, UDISE Plus Schools, and Self-Recognized. The Zilla Parishad has set up guidance rooms to assist parents in verifying schools and addressing any concerns they may have.
To tackle the issue of unauthorized schools, officials have been assigned to monitor such institutions in various areas. Unauthorized schools have been ordered to suspend admissions until they obtain proper recognition. Schools with migration proposals or letters of intent must secure approval before the academic year commences.
The Zilla Parishad has identified 13 unauthorized schools that must cease operations immediately. This list includes schools like Jesus Christ English Medium School, Kingsway Public School, and Delhi Public School. Some schools lack government approval, while others are awaiting recognition despite submitting proposals.
Parents are urged to verify a school’s recognition status, utilize guidance rooms for assistance, and avoid unauthorized schools until they meet regulatory requirements.
