Hey Pune peeps! Guess what? The President’s Police Medal for Meritorious Service has just been announced on the eve of India’s 78th Independence Day. And you know who made us proud? Satish Govekar, Assistant Commissioner of Police in the Crime Branch of Pune Police Commissionerate, that’s who! He’s been awarded the prestigious President’s Special Service Police Medal for his outstanding work in solving crimes and serving the community.

Starting off as a police sub-inspector, Govekar has climbed up the ranks and has been a key player in cracking some major cases over the years. His dedication and hard work in the crime branch have not gone unnoticed, that’s for sure.

But wait, there’s more good news! Additional Director General of Police Chiranjeev Prasad and Special Inspector General of Police Dr. Rajendra Dahale have also been honored with the President’s Special Service Police Medal. A total of 39 policemen from Maharashtra have been recognized for their exemplary service.

These officers truly deserve a round of applause for their commitment to keeping our city safe. Let’s give them a virtual high-five and show our appreciation for their hard work! 🎉👮‍♂️ #ProudOfOurPolice #PunePoliceRock
