- Professor Anjali Maydeo Ambedkar, a senior social activist, praised the efforts of the organization in addressing such a sensitive topic through effective initiatives. Her encouraging speech motivated the audience to take collective responsibility towards child safety.
- Mrs Manisha Biraris, child development project officer at Women and Child Development department, reiterated the department’s commitment to strengthening child safety measures. Members of the Child Welfare Committee also emphasized the importance of enhancing child safety.
- A street play performed by FFCP-Muskaan employees addressed various aspects of child sexual abuse, including different types of abuse, the importance of empowering children to say no, and the fact that both boys and girls can be victims.
- The highlight of the event was the ribbon-cutting and flag-off ceremony, where 20 to 25 autorickshaws from Pune city were launched with messages of child safety and FFCP-Muskaan’s helpline number. This initiative aims to create a wider reach among citizens of Pune to seek help in unsafe situations.
