Pune’s very own Punit Balan Group is making headlines yet again, and this time it’s for all the right reasons. The young entrepreneur and chief of the Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati celebrations, Punit Balan, has announced a generous reward for Paralympic athletes Sachin Khilari and Sandip Sargar.

Khilari, the silver medalist in shot put at the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games, will receive a whopping ₹5 lakh reward from PBG. On the other hand, Sargar, who delivered an outstanding javelin throw performance at the same event, will be rewarded with ₹2 lakh.

During the celebration of Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati, both Khilari and Sargar had the opportunity to perform the traditional ‘Aarti’, where Punit Balan officially announced the rewards. This is not the first time PBG has shown support for athletes, as Paris Olympics bronze medalist in shooting, Swapnil Kusale, was previously honored with a ₹11 lakh reward.

Both Khilari and Sargar expressed their gratitude towards Punit Balan for his continuous support. Balan, in return, offered prayers to Lord Ganesha, hoping for more medal-winning performances from the talented athletes in the future.

It’s heartwarming to see local businesses like the Punit Balan Group stepping up to support and recognize the hard work and dedication of our athletes. Here’s to more initiatives like these that uplift and inspire our sporting community.
