As the sun rises over Wagholi on this fine December morning, the excitement is palpable as the groundwork for the Pune Ring Road project has officially begun. This project, which is set to revolutionize connectivity and alleviate traffic congestion in Pune, is a game-changer for the city.

The Eastern Phase of the project, stretching over 24.5 km from Pune Nagar Road to Solapur Highway, has been awarded to Roadway Solution India Infra Ltd. The contractor wasted no time and has already set up shop in Wadebolhai village near Kesnand.

The inauguration ceremony was a grand affair, complete with a traditional pooja and attended by esteemed dignitaries such as Ameet Gadhoke, the Managing Director of Roadway Solution India Infra Ltd., and local leaders like Kunal Gupta and Vishal Ghule Patil. The villagers of Wadebolhai were also in high spirits as they participated in the event.

With over 100 excavators and heavy machinery on-site, the project is poised to make great strides once the Government of Maharashtra gives the official green light for construction to begin.

BK Singh, the Director of Roadway Solution India Infra Ltd., expressed his enthusiasm about the project, stating, “This is a crucial step in enhancing Pune’s infrastructure. We are dedicated to ensuring that the Eastern Phase is completed on time and to the highest quality standards.”

The Pune Ring Road, a massive 170-km-long project with a budget of ₹42,000 crores, is divided into four phases and aims to alleviate congestion, enhance connectivity to surrounding areas, and stimulate Pune’s economic growth.

The official groundbreaking ceremony is set to take place after December 5, 2024, marking a pivotal moment in reshaping Pune’s urban landscape.

The Pune Ring Road project signifies a significant milestone in the region’s journey towards modern, sustainable infrastructure development. Stay tuned as this project unfolds and transforms the face of Pune as we know it.
