Talk about a comeback! Pune’s very own Sanjay Takale has proven himself to be a force to be reckoned with in the world of Indian rally drivers. The 2011 season ended on a high note for Takale as he not only secured another podium finish but also took home the Malaysian Rally Championship title.

Competing in various terrains and formats, Takale drove for the Pennzoil GSR Racing Team in a Proton Satria car and claimed the Malaysian Champion title in the P9 class. What sets Takale apart is his ability to overcome challenges – even when faced with changing co-drivers, he managed to secure yet another podium finish.

Takale’s main competition in Malaysia was against Dinie Nazme Abd Rahaman, but he managed to outperform him in the second stage and continued to dominate in the remaining stages, ultimately winning the class by a significant margin.

The return of rallying in Malaysia after a five-year break saw Takale invited by his former team boss to drive for his team. Alongside former WRC champion Karamjit Singh, Takale proved his skills once again by clinching the Malaysian Rally Championship title.

It’s clear that Sanjay Takale is a rising star in the world of rally driving, and his recent achievements in Malaysia are a testament to his skill and determination. Keep an eye out for this talented driver as he continues to make waves in the Indian rally scene.
