Pune’s Shivajinagar Bus Stand Revamp: Deputy CM Ajit Pawar Sets Deadline for Project Completion

1. The meeting chaired by Ajit Pawar discussed key directives for the upcoming project, with Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik and Minister of State for Transport Madhuri Misal in attendance.
2. Pawar stressed the importance of laying the foundation stone for the project by Maharashtra Day in 2025 and urged authorities to speed up the MoUs between MahaMetro and the State Transport Corporation.
3. The project highlights include a modern bus terminal with commercial complexes, two-level underground parking, retail and semi-basement space, and a multi-level bus terminal with a 16-storey tower for government and private offices.
4. Pawar also instructed officials to kickstart the redevelopment of Swargate Bus Stand to enhance Pune’s urban infrastructure.
