Hey there, folks! Today we’re talking about some exciting news coming out of Pune – the 51st State-Level Cadet and Junior Judo Tournament! Noted Young Entrepreneur and PBG President Punit Balan has shown his full support for talented sportspersons from Maharashtra, especially those who excel in national and international competitions.

Balan highlighted the recent success of Maharashtra’s own Shraddha Chopade, who snagged the Gold Medal in the National Seniors Competition. He emphasized the importance of providing these athletes with top-notch training and facilities to ensure they reach their full potential. Balan also encouraged parents to keep their kids away from mobile phones and get them out on the playground to nurture their talents.

The Maharashtra Judo Association has been doing a fantastic job promoting the sport and emphasizing the importance of physical fitness and self-defense. Thanks to their efforts, many players are not only winning medals but also landing government jobs through the sports quota.

The tournament, held at the Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Balewadi-Mahalunge, kicked off on Tuesday and will run until January 8. Maharashtra Judo Association President Dhananjay Bhosale, along with other officials, were present to oversee the event.

Over 275 young players from 26 districts in the state are participating in the tournament, with hopes of representing Maharashtra in the National Judo Tournament. The competition is fierce, with athletes competing in various weight categories to secure the top spot.

The results of the boys’ competitions are already in, with talented young athletes from across Maharashtra showcasing their skills and determination. From under 30-kg to above 66-kg categories, these young judokas are proving that Maharashtra is a force to be reckoned with in the world of Judo.
