Commuters in Pune are facing a major issue with potholes on roads in and around the city. The Public Works Department (PWD) has taken a step towards addressing this problem by launching a mobile app for reporting potholes.

So how does this app work? Well, all you need to do is lodge a complaint about a pothole on the app. Once the complaint is submitted, officials will determine if the road in question belongs to the PWD. If it does, the complaint will be forwarded to the junior engineer responsible for that area. The engineer will then receive a photo of the pothole and will be required to fix it within the next three days.

But what happens if the pothole isn’t repaired within the given time frame? Well, in that case, the engineer in charge will face disciplinary action. The PWD has constructed numerous roads in the outskirts of the city and in the surrounding district, making this app a useful tool for reporting potholes on these roads.

After posting a photo of a pothole on the app, the complainant will receive a response confirming whether the road falls under PWD jurisdiction. If it does, the complaint will be escalated to the junior engineer, deputy engineer, and executive engineer for prompt action. The junior engineer is responsible for fixing the pothole within three days of receiving the complaint, failure to do so will result in consequences for the engineer.

Overall, this app seems like a convenient and efficient way for the public to report potholes and ensure that they are fixed in a timely manner by the authorities.
