- The Maharashtra/Karnataka landscape is filled with forts, palaces, and battlefields associated with Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The Bharat Gaurav Circuit Yatra aims to give passengers, especially the youth, a chance to explore these historical sites and connect with the rich Maratha history.
- Pune, an important educational and technological hub, is also a crucial railway junction connecting Maharashtra with the rest of the country. Development work is underway at Pune station and surrounding areas, with Uruli station being developed as a terminus to ease the burden on Pune station.
- Additional satellite Terminus stations like Hadapsar and Shivaji Nagar are also being developed to increase the capacity of Pune station and facilitate more trains to and from the city. Requests for trains to Pune are pouring in from all corners of the country, highlighting its significance as a major transportation hub.
