Kasba Peth, November 9, 2024: The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) president Raj Thackeray recently slammed the current political scenario in Maharashtra during a campaign rally in the Kasba constituency. He criticized the state’s leaders for their disloyalty and opportunistic behavior over the past five years, calling it “disgusting.”

Thackeray questioned the motives behind political alliances formed for convenience, stating that votes are sought in one person’s name while power is enjoyed in any way desired. He pointed fingers at NCP leader Sharad Pawar, labeling him as the mastermind behind political opportunism in the state.

During the rally, Thackeray urged voters to consider whether they wanted to elect a party (Congress) that insulted historical figures like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Veer Savarkar. He emphasized that his goal is not personal power but the prosperity of Maharashtra, urging voters to give the MNS a chance.

The public meeting, attended by key MNS figures, highlighted the historical significance of Kasba and its connection to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Jijabai. Thackeray criticized the lack of planning in the city and accused current MLAs and MPs of lacking vision.

Thackeray also criticized the post-2019 election alliances, especially the unexpected coalition between Congress, NCP, and Shiv Sena, calling it outrageous. He took a swipe at Uddhav Thackeray for failing to realize that 40 MLAs were defecting while he was Chief Minister.

Thackeray urged voters to elect MNS candidates across the state to correct the course of Maharashtra’s politics. Ganesh Bhokare, the MNS candidate for Kasba, promised to address the lack of development in the area if elected.

Other MNS leaders also spoke at the rally, emphasizing the need for change in Maharashtra’s political landscape.
