Ramdas Athawale, a prominent politician from Maharashtra, has been appointed as the Union Minister of State in the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment after the recent Lok Sabha elections. The Republican Party of India – Athawale (RPI-A) activists in Pune congratulated him for being appointed as a Union Minister for the third time.

During a media interaction, Athawale expressed his disappointment with the Mahayuti alliance. He mentioned that despite their party’s significant power in Maharashtra, they did not receive fair treatment in the Lok Sabha elections. Athawale emphasized the need for the BJP and Shiv Sena to give them honorable seats, stating that their alliance has historically led to those they align with coming to power.

The activists of RPI-A are demanding twelve seats in Maharashtra due to the strong sentiments of their workers. Athawale highlighted the NDA’s opportunity to govern for a third time in the country and expressed joy at his ministerial appointment. He criticized the opposition for campaigning against reservations and disrespecting the Constitution while now claiming to protect it.

Athawale also condemned the Badlapur incident, calling it a serious disgrace. He urged for strict laws, the death penalty, fast-track court trials, and increased parental vigilance to prevent such incidents from happening again.

Overall, Athawale is optimistic about the Central Government’s decisions and believes that the NDA will come to power for a fourth term after their current five-year term.
