Alright folks, it’s crunch time in the Bhosari assembly constituency in Pune as the final day for withdrawing election nominations has come and gone. The rebel candidate Ravi Landge of the Shiv Sena (UBT faction) has decided to take his nomination back, much to the relief of the Mahavikas Aghadi coalition.
Now, the battleground is set for a direct face-off between BJP’s Mahesh Landge and NCP (SP) party’s Ajit Gavhane. With Ravi Landge out of the picture, it’s going to be a showdown between these two heavyweights.
Ajit Gavhane will have his work cut out for him as he takes on the two-time MLA Mahesh Landge. It’s going to be a tough battle, with Landge aiming for a hat-trick win while Gavhane looks to upset his streak.
In total, there were 24 applications submitted for the Bhosari constituency, but only 18 remained valid after 6 got dismissed. With seven candidates withdrawing, we are left with a total of 11 contenders in the race.
Aside from the main players Mahesh Landge and Ajit Gavhane, there are nine other candidates vying for the seat. It’s going to be a crowded field with names like Balraj Katke, Amjad Mahebub Khan, and Javed Shah in the mix.
But with the stage set and the candidates locked in, all eyes are now on the voters in Bhosari. With over 6 lakh voters in the constituency, the outcome of this election is anyone’s guess. Stay tuned for more updates as the election day approaches.
