Hey there, Pune peeps! Looks like MLA Ravindra Dhangekar from Kasba Peth has been making some waves in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. In just 16 months, he’s raised a whopping 316 questions, fighting for the concerns of Pune’s residents, especially those in his own constituency.
During his recent election campaign in Kasba, Dhangekar proudly shared that many of the issues he’s raised have been taken seriously. One of his big pushes has been for a 40% property tax concession for homeowners by the Pune Municipal Corporation, as well as tax exemptions for smaller homes belonging to middle-class and lower-income families. He’s also been vocal about setting up a separate corporation for rickshaw drivers and owners, and pushing for a hefty 22 TMC water supply for Pune city.
But Dhangekar’s not just about taxes and water supply – he’s also been cracking down on drug trafficking, illegal pubs, and hookah bars, leading to some police action in the city. Plus, he’s been working on tackling the challenges posed by Pune’s heritage architecture regulations, which have been causing issues for the renovation of old properties.
Showing off his commitment, Dhangekar’s been maintaining a solid 90% attendance across four legislative sessions. And earlier today, he led a campaign march through Ward No. 19, with support pouring in from local speakers and workers from Mahavikas Aghadi and other allied parties.
It’s clear that Dhangekar’s got some serious support behind him, with folks like Avinash Bagwe, Yaser Bagwe, Yusuf Sheikh, and more showing up to rally for him. Looks like he’s definitely making a mark in the political scene in Pune!
