1. Benkar, Nilesh Damishte, Sunny Raikar, and other concerned citizens recently took a stand against the neglected issues plaguing DP roads in Dhayari. They submitted a memorandum to Police Inspector Ajay Bhos of Nanded City Police Station, urging action to be taken.
  2. It’s been a whopping 28 years since the planning of DP roads in Dhayari began, but progress has been disappointingly slow. Many DP roads still exist only on paper, leading to worsened traffic congestion and daily struggles for residents. The Savitri Garden to Sinhagad Road stretch is a prime example, with only 400 meters of road work completed despite significant funds being allocated.
  3. Benkar didn’t hold back in criticizing the poor traffic management in the area. He pointed out the lack of police personnel, home guards, traffic wardens, and functioning signals as major contributors to the chaos. Areas like Dhayari Village Road, Narhe-Dhayari, and Nanded Phata to Lagad Mala are among the worst-hit zones.
  4. Damishte shed light on the fact that the DP roads were planned almost three decades ago, yet land acquisition and implementation are far from complete. Partial land acquisition in some areas has only worsened the situation, leaving citizens stuck in a perpetual traffic nightmare.

It’s clear that the issues surrounding DP roads in Dhayari are long-standing and urgent action is needed to alleviate the suffering of residents. With citizens like Benkar, Damishte, and Raikar raising their voices, hopefully, authorities will take notice and work towards a solution.
