Hey there, Pune peeps! Big news coming your way about the Dyaneshwar Maharaj Palkhi procession in Alandi. So, get this – only 90 warkaris per Dindi will be allowed to join the procession this year.

Seems like there was some drama last year when the warkaris clashed with the police while trying to control the crowds at the temple. Yikes! But fear not, a meeting was held with District & Session Judge Mahindra Mahajan in charge, along with senior warkaris, Dindi owners, police, and government officials to sort things out.

So, here’s the deal – only 90 warkaris will be allowed in each Dindi, with a total of 59 Dindis joining the procession to prevent any stampedes. The decision was made after a few incidents in the past two years, including a scuffle between warkaris and the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police.

Last year, there was a demand for 100 warkaris per Dindi, but it’s been decided to stick with 90 this year. Remember that scuffle last year when some warkaris tried to break the barricades and things got heated between them and the police? Yeah, let’s avoid that this time around.

So, mark your calendars for the Dyaneshwar Maharaj Palkhi procession and stay tuned for more updates on this year’s event!
