Hey there, Pune peeps! Here’s some shocking news coming your way. Imagine getting into a rickshaw, thinking you’re just going to be dropped off, but ending up getting robbed instead. That’s exactly what happened to a 20-year-old guy in the Pune Railway Station area.
So, this young man from Chakan hopped into a rickshaw on Monday morning, all set for work. He asked the driver to take him near the Tukaram Sheth Shinde Parking Lot, but little did he know what was coming. The rickshaw driver, along with a buddy, decided to pull a fast one on him.
They took him to a deserted spot, where things took a nasty turn. The poor guy was not only verbally abused and physically attacked but also robbed of ₹1,200 in cash. And as if that wasn’t enough, the rickshaw driver forced him to cough up more money, making him transfer ₹4,900 online.
After the crooks got their hands on the cash, they made a run for it, leaving the victim in shock. Thankfully, the brave young man didn’t just sit back and take it. He headed straight to the Bund Garden Police Station to report the incident. Now, Assistant Inspector Kadam is on the case, with Senior Police Inspector Ravindra Gaikwad overseeing the investigation.
Let’s hope these culprits are caught soon and justice is served. Stay safe out there, Pune folks!
