Hey folks, here’s the latest scoop from Pune! The Republican Party of India – Athawale (RPI-A) is making some bold demands ahead of the upcoming Maharashtra Legislative Elections. State Organizer Parshuram Wadekar has stated that the party wants 12 seats to contest in the elections, and if they don’t get them, they might just sit out of the campaigning altogether. Talk about playing hardball!
Wadekar isn’t holding back either. He’s specifically eyeing the Pune Cantonment Constituency as one of the 12 seats they want. In a recent press conference, he expressed his disappointment with the alliance and how they feel like they’ve been getting the short end of the stick. Apparently, the RPI hasn’t had much luck in past elections and they’re ready to make a stand this time around.
It seems like there might be some room for compromise though. Union Minister Ramdas Athawale had previously asked for 20 seats, but now Wadekar is lowering the number to 12. Maybe the RPI is ready to meet halfway and work things out with the alliance. Only time will tell how this all plays out, but one thing’s for sure – the political drama in Maharashtra is heating up!
