Roadways Solutions India Infra Ltd (RSIIL) has recently secured projects worth ₹4,700 crore for the Pune Ring Road and the Jalna-Nanded Expressway in Maharashtra. This development comes from a contract awarded by the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation Limited (MSRDC).

RSIIL has a history of taking on large-scale projects, such as the recent contract to concrete 212 roads across eight municipal wards in Mumbai. However, the firm faced challenges with a previous contract, which was terminated by the BMC due to insufficient progress on the road works. After legal action and a temporary stay by the Bombay High Court, the contract was ultimately terminated in January 2024, with penalties imposed on RSIIL.

Despite these setbacks, RSIIL is now focusing on the Pune Ring Road and Jalna-Nanded Expressway projects. The Pune Ring Road aims to improve connectivity within the metropolitan area, addressing rising traffic demands and promoting economic development. Similarly, the Jalna-Nanded Expressway will enhance transportation links between these two key cities, facilitating trade and accessibility.

Overall, these projects are expected to bring about enhanced connectivity, economic development, and increased trade opportunities for Maharashtra. With RSIIL at the helm, these infrastructure developments are set to make a significant impact on the state’s roadways and overall growth.
