Maha Metro officials are addressing various issues in Pune to improve the overall transportation system in the city. One of the major developments includes the planned shifting of PMPML bus stops once the Metro station is completed. This move is expected to streamline traffic flow and make commuting easier for passengers.

In addition to relocating bus stops, officials are also working on creating two new road links near Jedhe Chowk to reduce congestion in the area. The Metro station itself will have four to five entry-exit points, with direct access from Satara Road at Jedhe Chowk. Future phases of the project will see additional entry-exit points at Ganesh Kala Krida Manch and the MSRTC bus terminus.

Auto rickshaw drivers have expressed concerns about the lack of dedicated parking spaces, which only adds to the traffic woes in the city. Commuters have also raised issues about the difficulty of crossing Satara Road to reach the MSRTC bus terminus, further highlighting the need for improved infrastructure and planning.

Maha Metro is gearing up to launch services to Swargate in the near future, with stations at Swargate, Mandal, and Kasba Peth set to open soon. In response to feedback from the autorickshaw union, plans are being considered to allocate specific spaces around Metro stations for autos to help reduce congestion and improve first and last mile connectivity for passengers. These initiatives aim to enhance the overall commuting experience for residents and visitors in Pune.
